How to get there

From Cologne Central Station:

The regional train (RB) and the regional express will take you directly from Cologne Central Station to the South Station. The journey takes only 6 minutes. Or take tram line 18 (direction 'Klettenberg') from the main station to the 'Neumarkt' stop. At 'Neumarkt' change to tram line 9 and get off at 'Bahnhof Süd/Dasselstr.'. The journey takes about 16 minutes.

From Cologne Airport:

From Cologne Bonn Airport, take the S-Bahn line S13 in the direction of Cologne. Get off at 'Köln-Deutz' station and from there take the U-Bahn line 9 in the direction of 'Sülz'. Get off at 'Bahnhof Süd/Dasselstr.'. The geoscientific institutes are located in the immediate vicinity of the station. The journey takes about 30 minutes.

By car:

Leave the Autobahn (A4/E40) at the Klettenberg exit and turn right into Luxemburger Straße. Follow Luxemburger Street until you reach the crossing with Universitätsstraße. Follow the signs to the university and after the U-turn turn right onto Universitätsstraße. From Universitätsstraße turn right after 500 meters onto Zülpicher Straße.

Directions to the Examination Office / Institute for Geophysics and Meteorology:

The station 'Pohligstraße' can be reached by tram line 12 and bus line 142. The building is located directly at the crossing Höninger Weg - Pohligstraße. On the third floor you will find the Institute for Geophysics and Meteorology and the Examination Office of Geosciences.
