Fabian Sonnenburg, Fellowship Grant 2015

Large Airports and Urban Economies in Australian Metropolitan Areas

The major achievement of the grant period was the completion of a draft publication for a high-ranking international journal presenting empirical key results. The reference will be posted here once the manuscript has been published.

Moreover, I finished substantial parts of the introduction and literature review of the PhD thesis. Finally, I presented results of my PhD project at two academic conferences during the grant period:

SONNENBURG, F. (2015): Flughäfen als Treiber des Strukturwandels in Gewerbegebieten: Befunde aus den Verdichtungsräumen Sydney und Brisbane. Deutscher Kongress für Geographie, Berlin/Germany, 1-6/10/2015.

SONNENBURG, F./BRAUN, B. (2015): The Impact of Airports on Employment Centres in Australian Metropolitan Areas. Fourth Global Conference on Economic Geography, Oxford/United Kingdom, 19-23/08/2015.

In the future I will work in the field of residential property market research for a private company. Moreover, I will be guest researcher at the Institute of Geography.
