Between the 14-17th Juli, the ICCM (International Conference on Computational Methods) 2015 took place in Auckland, New Zealand with over 500 participants. With the support of the Graduate School of Geosciences, I had the change to attend to this conference and gave a talk on my results of my PhD project.
Within the session “Numerical Methods and Applications in Geoscience and Geotechnics” focused on novel numerical methods I gave a talk (“Direct three-dimensional meshless magnetotelluric modeling”) about my ongoing results of my PhD project. After the talk and during the session, I discussed my results with scientists working on similar subjects. They gave me valuable feedback regarding my research.
During the conference, I also attended several oral sessions on different topics of numerical simulation. I got new ideas and insights into different methodological approaches and I used the possibility to interact with top scientists in the field of numerical methods.
